How to link PAN Card To Aadhar Card

Linking your PAN card with Aadhaar card is mandatory for Indian residents as per the government guidelines. Here are the steps to link your PAN card with Aadhaar card: 

Visit the Income Tax e-filing website - www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

1. Click on the 'Link Aadhaar' option under the 'Quick Links' section on the left-hand side of the home page.
2. A new page will open, where you need to fill in your PAN number, Aadhaar number, and name as per the Aadhaar card.
3. After filling in the details, enter the captcha code as shown in the image.
4. Click on the 'Link Aadhaar' button.
5. A pop-up message will appear on your screen, confirming that your Aadhaar card has been successfully linked with your PAN card.

Alternatively, you can also link your PAN card with your Aadhaar card by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161 in the following format:

UIDPAN<SPACE><12-digit Aadhaar number><SPACE><10-digit PAN number>

For example: UIDPAN 123456789012 ABCDE1234F

After sending the SMS, you will receive a confirmation message from the Income Tax Department.

It is important to note that the deadline to link PAN card with Aadhaar card has been extended to 30th June 2023.
